21-May-12, the UnRisk consortium takes UnRisk 6 to financial institutions, to valuate new deal types, including inflation and commodity instruments and extended CPU/GPU support. UnRisk-Q is now cross-platform.

UnRisk today announced it has released UnRisk 6, a dramatically enhanced version of UnRisk-Q and the UnRisk PRICING ENGENE. This release is free for all UnRisk Premium Service users and will be shipped to all new customers immediately. The UnRisk PRICING ENGINE has been introduced 2001. Now, UnRisk 6 is the 19th release.

New in UnRisk 6: the vast variety of instruments has been extended by new inflation and commodity linked products based on stochastic models with many combined contract features, like lookback commodity quanto options. UnRisk GPU support is now extended from valuations under the Heston model to instrument valuations under a General Hull & White model. UnRisk-Q is now cross platform and available on Windows, Linux or OS X.

Serving two-side markets

UnRisk-Q is offered to quant develpers as culmination of the co-evolutionary development of the bank-proof UnRisk PRICING ENGINE and UnRisk FACTORY. It integrates blazingly fast pricing and calibration engines written in C++ into Mathematica 8.

"Making UnRisk-Q available to quant developers we re-invented our business. We made UnRisk-Q the pace maker of all UnRisk developments and deliver solutions and know-how packages", summarizes Andreas Binder, CEO of the UnRisk consortium.

"UnRisk's engines perform blazinly fast", says Herbert Exner, head of business development. "But this is only one reason why software makers and financial innovators enjoy using UnRisk. It is innovative in methodologies and techniques. It is open and will run platform agnostic on existing and future computing muscles. It is a white-box and it enables a wide spectrum of solutions", he adds.

UnRisk 6 offers identical deal type coverage, models and methods in UnRisk-Q and the PRICING ENGINE. UnRisk-Q also offers the VaR Universe and an access kit to the UnRisk FACTORY data base.
